2. About the Service

EnterChat is a self-hosted messaging platform built on open-source technology:

• The server runs on Dendrite, an implementation of the Matrix protocol
• The web interface is based on Element, an open-source Matrix client
• For mobile and desktop, we recommend using the official Element app and connecting to our server (kaira.email)
• EnterChat does not claim ownership or copyright over these underlying open-source technologies

3. Use of Service

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating an account
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Not use the service for any unlawful or harmful purposes
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not use EnterChat to:

• Send spam, harassment, threats, or abusive content
• Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful software
• Impersonate other individuals or entities
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer or compromise the service

5. Privacy & Data

EnterChat is committed to your privacy:

• Messages are end-to-end encrypted when encryption is enabled
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not track you or serve advertisements
• No analytics or telemetry data is collected
• You retain ownership of all content you create and share

Like any messaging service, basic account information (such as your username and profile) is stored on the server to provide the service. All data is kept securely and is never shared externally.

6. Account Termination

EnterChat reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. EnterChat does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Limitation of Liability

EnterChat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of EnterChat after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
